Blinding lies

You all wove lies for years and years

lies that tore us all apart

lies about who we are and who we could be

lies that shattered every heart

Don't go pretending

any longer

I just can't take it

Don't go pretending it was alright

because it wasn't

Your ideas were

misguided

everyone forced

to be disguised

you didn't let them be themselves,

instead forced them into somebody else

What was the point,

to build a world so blind,

in which no one can see eye to eye

what was the point of all those lies,

stinging cries and ruining lives

what was the need to create those mindsets

pure evil, all built by lies

what was the need to put them all down

for who they are,

look at what you've become

it needn't go on any longer

for, we now know all your lies

after ages and ages and a million tries,

we now know truths from lies
