Day and Night

While the light lasts

I'll remain in the shadows

Breathing in the darkness of the eerie nights

While the night lasts

I'll stay outside,

Waiting for the daybreak

To arise

I'll keep changing, evolving

Nocturnal to human,

A bit of both

I'll stay in the light as long as I can,

Maybe longer but just until it nearly blinds me

And then I'll wave goodbye to the day and hide in the corners of the night
