Deceive

Everybody watching you,

listening to you confuse

your lies and the truth

Assuming that you're always right

but the reality is very far from that

If I could tell you

that you're not deceiving anyone else

as much as you're deceiving yourself,

I would

But as long as you keep deceiving me,

I would still believe

everything you feel.

It's absurd, the way you twist things

from straight, long threads, intertwined

to easy lies that you feel are just twisted truths

but it isn't,

it's far from that

I'd tell you, really

I would if I could

But if you keep blinding me

with the lies that you weave

I won't be able to see,

As I said, you're not deceiving anybody

as much as you're deceiving me
