It was an ordinary day, nothing out of the usual, nothing peculiar about it. Although, something was unquestionably disturbing me. I couldn't place it until I walked over to the table to take my book and saw the lights flickering in the two-story house across the street through the window.

What was going on? Weren't they home? I put on my cardigan and sandals and walked over. *knock knock*. No answer. The door flung open, startling me. A wave of strong wind made my feet unstable, stumbling backward. I shouldn't have, but I held the door open and walked in. Hushed voices. Who's there? There wasn't anyone in sight, it was probably the wind. I walked upstairs, slowly, the wooden stairs creaking with every step. Hushed whispers. A force pushed me back against the wall. More whispers. I shut my eyes tightly, protecting them from the strong winds. I was sinking. Deeper and deeper, and deeper. It was all normal again. Except, the whole house was different, and I wasn't alone. No, I definitely wasn't. The voices weren't hushed anymore. They were loud. And clear. I didn't know where I was. Was I at the same place? "There you are!" someone exclaimed. Who? I smiled. Here I am. And I'm never leaving.
