Fall apart

Day by day,

the night gets darker

A perfectly aimed arrow,

in the indistinct blackness

reaches the picture-perfect frame

of my life

Shattering it slowly, yet at once

One by one

every piece falling down,

the whole thing falling apart

In the middle of the night

the shadows still arrive

of the million shattered pieces of what was once everything

broken, breaking and slowly fading into nothing

Piece by piece I try to pick it all up,

slowly cleaning up this mess,

although it all just seems hopeless

But I don't want to exist

on a ground full of broken glass,

its edges cutting through my skin

and making me bleed again

So I'll do it all again

fix it up to put it back in a new frame

it might not be perfect this time

but I hope it's here to stay
