Forever alone

lightly lit streets

aesthetic lights, neither dull nor bright

busy cars and fully crowded bars

because it's a friday

and everyone's got things to do

a shot and then twenty two

the gun drops and then they don't know what to do

the wet mud in the playground doesn't stop the kids from jumping in

And their parents chasing them with umbrellas and their phones in their arms

and there are those

barely getting by

walking the streets gently and carefully

barely alive

we're just getting by
