But I was convinced I could breathe

You were still there,

inhaling all my air,

holding me hostage

But I didn't realize

that I was sinking,

while keeping you afloat,

didn't know what I was thinking

when I didn't let go

And you were drowning me,

deeper and deeper,

till I couldn't breathe
