An intruder,

invading your thoughts,

a ride,

forced

away from actuality

holds your hand and takes you away

away from reality

The intruder

has you in its clutches

holds on,

and there is nothing

that could be done

to keep away

nothing you could do or say

would bother the intruder

waiting and waiting,

until you're free

back to reality, the one you can see
