She hadn't slept at all that night. The stillness was piercing and the sky: pitch-black. Something was calling her. She didn't know what was happening. a force was pulling her. As if in a trance, she stood up and stepped over to the door. *Knock* *knock*. Who was it? The door swung wide open and a gush of wind blew right in blowing her hair. Her feet taking long steps forward while the door swung shut.

Pitter-patter, it was drizzling. A drop after another. If she were completely conscious, she'd be elated for the rain always bought her calmness and pleasure.

*Thud* *thud*: The sound of her beating heart as she walked towards the shining lamp post a street away from home. The feeling of being possessed was frightening. A shadow! It turned around the corner. She dashed after it. An eerie whisper, she heard from the wind.

The shadow was gone. She gulped down the air as she walked again. The town that was a haven at dusk was a nightmare at night. Another lamp post. She spotted the shadow again. What was happening? A moment of consciousness passed through her. Why was she pulled towards that shadow? She was confused but off she went after it again. The shadow was gone as it was completely dark. She ran in search of another lamp post desiring to see the shadow again to determine whose it was and why she was drawn to it. And she saw the shadow yet again. But this time something dawned on her. The shadow was all she could see. There was no one in sight. She stood there petrified, not knowing what had to be done as she broke into a cold sweat. Unnecessary to say so but this was by far the oddest thing she had witnessed. She looked closely at the shadow. It was of a female. Her hair let down and of a frail figure somewhat similar to hers. She let out a gasp that came out more like a shriek. She spun around immediately after she brought herself under clear light. A soul, she had but a shadow, she didn't. A displeasing screech was let out, and that was it.
